That can't be the best picture
Judy and I saw
Million Dollar Baby a week ago, and came away completely unimpressed. The story is formulaic, and the two often-hinted-at plot twists are reasonably predictable if you ask "how could this movie tug at the heart strings more". The acting was mixed: Eastwood was almost campy in his gruffness, Hilary Swank was excellent, Morgan Freeman did the best he could given that the script gave him almost all clichés, and the rest of the acting was average. In other words, if you haven't seen the movie yet, don't feel like you have to now that it got all those awards.
